Election Protection Hotline
1-866-OUR-VOTE
The hotline will guide voters through the voting process, helping
to solve problems on issues such as voter
identification requirements, voting machine malfunctions, problems
at the polling place, and voter intimidation.
You can contact 1-866-OUR-VOTE with issues before, on, or after the election.
Issues
are
recorded in an Election
Incident Reporting
System (EIRS) to allow responding to issues in real time as well as provide
data for investigations after the election. The number is staffed with live volunteers
from 9 AM-6 PM Eastern time.
Election
Protection, the nation's largest non-partisan voter protection
coalition, is led by the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights
Under Law's National Campaign for Fair Elections, the NAACP,
the National
Bar Association, and People For the American Way Foundation.
Visit www.866ourvote.org or

Campaign for Fair Elections for more information.
Another voter hotline: 1-866-MyVote1
is available and will help voters, but
they will not release
information about the number and nature of the problems on the
ground on election day to citizens & activists who want to
muster a quick response. 1-866-MyVote1 is sponsored by non-partisan
groups including Common Cause, and grad students at Johns Hopkins
will be analyzing patterns of problems in the incoming calls,
and MSNBC and Telemundo will be reporting them.
